HOW TO GET THERE

STEP 1

To get to the cottage you need to get to Killala first. To help with this, the following is a link to the AA - Route Planner website. Select your region: Ireland (Republic & Northern). Enter your City or Town of origin and then enter Killala as your destination. The site will give you a detailed summary and turn-by-turn directions for your route.

STEP 2

Drive into and through Killala town and when you get to the Maxol petrol station on the far side of town (from here it is exactly 5.1 miles to door of cottage), follow the main road along by the river and cross over the bridge. Take the slip road (not the Ballycastle road), on the far side of the bridge. Drive along passing sign posts for Rathfran Dolmen and Ogham Stone you will then shortly come to a small crossroads and take the small left turn down the small boreen and you will come to the cottage (yellow colour with palm tree out front).
